Thanks for stopping by, I am returning the favor. I had actually come across your blog before and I meant to follow then... I feel you with the name butchering - u would not believe (then again you of all people would) how bad people mess up names.
I totally get the name thing. People have always called me Macon or Madison or Megan or any other name they could think of that started with an M. They couldn't get it through their skulls that a girl could be named Mason. So I became forevermore "Mason Like The Jar."
LOVE the blog, by the way. I'm your newest follower from the hop!
Hi There! New follower from the blog hop. Love your blog! This is SO funny. Happens to me all the time! I've been called Karen, Kathy, and Katie... Seriously people! :)After so many times though, I've started answering to whatever. Good Luck!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by, I'm returning the follow :) And I have to say...I totally don't get it! Rachel instead of Rebecca??? I get Betsy instead of Becky all the time at work which I understand (even though it makes me cringe every time) but wow...people. Lol!
I sympathize with your blight of Racheldom. My name is Alison, but I get called Ashley at least once a week. The truly horrific part? My own MOTHER calls me Ashley occasionally. I have nothing against the name Ashley, but it sounds so very unlike Alison... I could understand Alice or even maybe an Alyssa now and then but that never happens. Always, ALWAYS with the "Ashley."
I can see how annoying it is when people call you by a different name - especially when Rachel is not even close to sounding like Rebecca! My name is Kristina and people I just meet always call me different variations of it. So, I know how you feel.
Thanks so much for swinging by my blog recently! Love your corner of the web too and will start following as soon as I publish this comment.
People seem to be horrible with names :) My two boys have welsh and Irish names and no one gets them right. They think my youngest is a girl based on his Irish name and never pronounce it right! Thanks for the follow, following you back. I look forward to your future posts :)

ReplyDeleteI can't believe that! I know how you feel! With my name Eve...it's the simplest name ever and still it gets butchered! Unbelievable!
